Waiting For The Axe To Fall

2001: I was getting back into classical music at the time I wrote this, looking for a break from the heavy beats I had been listening to for almost a decade, and trying to find some serenity from my stress. I sampled some classical CDs I had and built this track around them. This track is not classical, in fact, in parts it's actually quite heavy and tribal, but there are definitely classical elements to the music. Originally, I had intended this to speed up at the end, and lead into a trance track of about 145 BPM, but that one never got written, and so this one just ends without changing tempo.

This ended up on the CTRL CD, and then was later remastered in 2006, as part of the 10th anniversary of Headspace.
