La Reunion Que N'Etais Jamais / Reunion

This song was original composed for the EtherReal collection, The Flower Of Humanity, in 1999. Back then, it was in response to a girl that I met at a Toronto concert and was trying to get with at the time, who promised that she would come and visit me from her hometown of Montreal in a few months... then she did a 180, and started slagging me off to her friends online, so I promptly banned her. So it was 'the reunion that never was'.

In 2006 when I was compiling Omega, I had original planned to have my cover of Depeche Mode's Memphisto as the lead-in to The Flight Deck, since both were in the same key. But after reading up on how difficult it would be to get the rights to use it, I just decided to replace it with a song that sounded similar, and then I remembered La Reunion. It was also the same key as the other two, and the timing and tempo was the same as Memphisto. So I recreated the song from the old arrangement using new sounds and samples, and seemlessly welded it to the beginning of The Flight Deck, and made it a single track in the collection, topping out at almost 19 minutes.
