I was worried about earthquakes when I wrote this. My daughter had just moved to the west coast with her mother, and I had used every excuse I could think of to convince her it was a bad idea, including the California megaquake defense. There had been a major quake somewhere around this time too, I can't remember where now, but it was Richter Magnitude 6.7, and this is why I named the song this. I had also wanted to add news footage samples of a quake over the mix, but I thought it might be too obvious.
