Oblivious (demo)

Oblivious is a song that I wrote around the time I started working on new material after releasing Glory. I originally called it "Third Wheel", but after I had written the lyrics, the hook of the chorus became the word 'oblivious' and also the title.

I wrote the lyrics in response to an ex-lover of mine, who ended our relationship in a rather passive aggressive way by showing up at a function with a new man. After that the sentiments were wasy to put to words. The music and lyrics end up being a very 'Pet Shop Boys' circa 1985 thing, but at the moment, I have not recorded the vocals to add to the mix, and this remains an instrumental demo.
